Park had a dud of a Fr year of JC baseball where he had mostly sat, and hit .159. The head coach had already told him in his exit meeting there wouldn’t be a spot for him the next year; and adding injury to insult, x-rays confirmed he had broken his hand at the very end of the season.
But that was the blessing in disguise: instead of trying to float to another JC at his current low abilities, it forced him to take a gap year of training: and he flourished
He added 20 lbs of lean muscle-not fluff. The jump in lean mass drove his lifts through the roof, and his velo and EV with it. At just 5’7” his FB jumped a full 9 mph to 90, and his EV 12 mph, to 103
He then dominated his CA summer league this summer, sitting 90 as well as touching the highest velo in the league, and batting .406
He has committed D1, where he will be given a legit shot this fall to become a 2 way player.
It would’ve been easy after his poor freshman JC season to give up, and even easier after breaking his hand and getting cut: but he persevered, and completely remade himself
The only path: BECOME UNDENIABLE!
