It's Not Enough to Work Hard

Adam Fenske

There’s a lot of baseball kids that are NOT frauds

They work hard--but they’re often working hard at the WRONG THINGS

In high school I poured myself into the prescribed “dOnT gEt tOo bIg” workouts that wouldn’t challenge an 82 year old, and ran endless poles

I got exactly what I worked for: I was skinny, weak, slow twitch dominant, and threw 80. So it was over

Sport is simply too competitive at the higher levels to work at the wrong things

You have to work hard-that’s assumed-but also work SMART!
