🔥iPhone: The Good And The Bad

Your phone can either be a blessing or a curse

Just depends on how you’re using it

According to the research, excessive smartphone and social media use increases narcissism, fragments attention, and causes anxiety and depression

In other words, at the same time it makes you selfish anxious and dumb, it depresses you

However, it can be a excellent tool, as it can provide quick access to information, as well as helping you vastly improve skill through video

We constantly use video in swing analysis, pitching mechanics, speed training, and max effort lifts, and it’s a massive advantage for an athlete

So how to balance the phone?

Simple application:

1️⃣ Have a cut off time that you turn your phone off before bed. This will help you get more sleep (eliminating mindless scrolling before bed) AND better sleep. If you use your phone as an alarm clock, simply buy an alarm instead

2️⃣ Set time limits on social media apps. I would recommend having someone else set your password so you can’t just keep going past the set time

3️⃣ Instead of waking up and going immediately to your phone, take a walk outside. You’ll be surprised how much better you’ll feel in the day
