Do Weighted Balls Work?

Recent study on weighted balls: 12% lost velocity

And 25% got hurt.

Weighted balls are a tool. They increase velocity by increasing external rotation. Because Glenohumeral total ROM is fixed, raising external rotation reduces internal rotation

That can be safe for some, hazardous to others.

Depends on YOUR arm

The question is why are we always trying to squeeze more velocity out of pitchers already overtaxed shoulders? Why not ask more of the rest of the body i.e. developing more lower body strength and rotational power? 🤔🤔🤔
